Successful hydrocarbon remediation project in Norway

We are pleased to have supported a successful hydrocarbon remediation project for a Norwegian operator, delivering an efficient and effective solution to a complex downhole challenge.

The project involved addressing hydrocarbon migration occurring below the 9 5/8” hanger—an area deep within the well where access and intervention can be particularly demanding. Tackling such conditions required a precise and reliable approach to ensure both safety and operational success.

To meet this challenge, our X-treme SJI™ technology was deployed to perform multiple critical functions within a single run. The tool was used to mechanically slot the casing, carry out high-pressure jetting to clean behind the casing, and assist in the retrieval of the casing itself. This integrated approach significantly improved efficiency while reducing the need for multiple interventions.

By combining advanced technology with a streamlined execution strategy, we were able to deliver a smart and effective solution in a technically demanding environment.
